Let's Play Dress Up
Gracey and I are going gaga lately, over clothes, about shopping, about fashion. I mean which girl don't? And since when weren't we crazy about this? Haha it's only now that we actually sat down and talked about it, how we can go about fulfilling our passion. Finally we are putting our empty words into actions.
I know we are not 18 anymore, and we are full-time employees doing some boring jobs. But it's never too late!
Anyway for now, it's just photo-whoring. I admit I love shopping, I love dressing up, I love taking pictures. Since I have so many clothes and I super enjoy mixing and matching them, why not show it to others who may enjoy my 'creations'? I would say the good thing is I enjoy flipping magazines & magazines, watching fashion shows & fashion shows to update myself on the latest mainstream happenings, but I'm also open to explore the alternative fashion trends. Every time someone asked me where I get my stuff from, or went ooh-aah over how nice I look in the clothes, I will be over the clouds. I bet you would too! Some people live for earning alot of money, some people live for being famous.. I live for this. =)
I bought this vest just 2 weeks ago, at a friend's private sale. I love it but it's not cheap, 'cause I know I can get it for half the price if I were to buy it directly from Hong Kong. I have been traveling and shopping so much last year, I know. But since it's a friend, and it looks so good, I don't mind paying a little more this time.
Why is it different? It's a typical long black vest, very typical Hong Kong cutting. But what's unique is the layer of chiffon at the bottom. I find it very awesome whenever something simple can have a complete different feel by just having add-ons. Now, I am very into fabrics of completely different texture, like chiffon with wool, silk with laces, tweed with.. it's up to your imagination.
I have not touched my blue beaded necklace for years. I'm glad they're back into action! Girls, don't throw away your old clothes. Remember some pieces that you regret buying immediately after you bring it home? You must have chucked it into the cupboard with the moth-balls for years. It's time to bring them out for some sunlight! You never know, they may suit your taste and style now.
